LIVE SITE
OVERVIEW

St. Francis Catholic College of Nursing Sciences arrived with almost the identical underlying problem as Sancta Maria: a strong academic institution whose online presence didn’t reflect its actual standing, and a staff team without the technical background to keep a site current on their own.

The Challenge

The temptation with a second, similar client is to simply duplicate the first solution wholesale. That would have been a mistake here for two reasons. First, St. Francis has its own identity, history, and community, and a site that feels like a reskinned copy of another college undermines the very trust-building goal the site is meant to serve. Second, the two colleges are, in some circles, aware of each other, so any visible similarity between their websites would read as a shortcut rather than craftsmanship.

At the same time, we’d already learned real lessons building Sancta Maria’s site: what staff struggled with, which admissions flow worked, how the portal/library integration should be signposted. Throwing that learning away and starting from zero would have been wasteful and slower, with no real benefit to the client.

Our Approach

We treated the underlying information architecture, the admissions journey, the self-serve publishing setup, the portal/library integration pattern, as proven infrastructure worth reusing, while building an entirely distinct visual identity, page layout rhythm, and content voice specific to St. Francis. The goal was that a visitor who happened to see both sites would never suspect they came from the same studio.

We also used this second build to refine a few things we’d learned from Sancta Maria: the admissions flow was tightened further based on which questions kept coming up, and the staff-editing interface was simplified even more after watching how a non-technical user actually interacted with the first version.

— WHAT WE BUILT —

Key Features

Admissions Hub

A clear, guided admissions section covering programmes, requirements, and how to apply, cutting down repeat phone and email inquiries to the admissions office.

Self-Serve Content Editing

A WordPress setup built for non-technical staff, so news, events, and announcements can be published in minutes, not days.

Connected Digital Ecosystem

Direct, clearly signposted links to the college’s library system (Nutrices Bibliotheca) and student portal, so the main site acts as a single front door.

Refreshed Brand Identity

A logo and colour system that carries consistently across the website, print materials, and signage.

Mobile-First Layout

Every page designed and tested for the phone-first browsing habits of prospective students and parents.

Fast Load Times

Optimised images and clean code so the site loads quickly even on slower mobile connections.
