OVERVIEW
CYON, the youth/community arm of St. Pio Catholic Church, Ayeteju, needed a digital home that could keep a growing congregation informed, events, announcements, and general church information, without requiring ongoing technical support from outside the community.
The Challenge
Faith and community organisations face a specific version of the sustainability problem: the people maintaining the site day-to-day are almost always volunteers, not paid staff, and often not technically inclined. A site that requires any real technical skill to update will simply stop being updated within a few months, no matter how good it looks on launch day.
Our Approach
We deliberately kept the build simple, not as a limitation, but as the right decision for who would actually be maintaining it. A clear homepage, an events section built for quick, low-friction updates, and prominent contact information, nothing that requires a volunteer to learn a content management system beyond the basics.
