OVERVIEW
Sancta Maria needed an actual library management system, not just a page describing the library, giving students and staff genuine digital catalogue and access tools instead of relying on manual, in-person record-keeping.
The Challenge
Nursing students juggle clinical placements alongside coursework, meaning their time on campus (and in the library specifically) is limited and valuable. A manual or informal system, physical logbooks, verbal requests, creates real friction: lost records, no way to check availability remotely, and staff time spent on tasks a system could handle automatically.
Our Approach
We built a proper searchable digital catalogue rather than a static book list, integrated directly with the college’s main website and student portal so it never feels like a separate system students have to remember exists. Staff-side tools were built to reduce the manual record-keeping burden that was previously eating into their time.
